    Thursday, December 18, 6-8pm

    This time of year we have lots of feelings about things. Some of us are lamenting the consumeristic nature of the holiday season, others of us are finding great joy in the anticipation of gift giving and receiving. Regardless, we humans imbue objects with meaning. Some of us get cozied up with nostalgia for family heirlooms, others of us cling with sadness to something from a loved one we’ve lost, and many of us have felt rage at the sight of something that subtly communicates that we don’t belong. This December, let’s take a moment to honor the story of just one of our things. Bring an object that is meaningful to you and share the story behind what makes it special, despised, or emotionally complicated. What is the story behind your favorite holey/holy sweatshirt? Why in the world is that weird figurine on your nightstand? Show us the picture from the trip that changed your life, or read us the break-up letter hidden between the books on your bookshelf. What stories hide beneath the facade of your things?

I don’t want cost to be a barrier for anyone’s participation, and so you can pay whatever you are able, no questions asked!

AND this is what I am doing to make a living. I very appreciate your support. My suggested rate for participation is $60/session. I put a lot of time and energy into preparing and running every gathering, and I bring years of experience to facilitating meaningful conversations.

֍ Anything you pay above $60 will go directly to supporting the participation of someone who cannot afford the full cost. ֍
