Before signing up please read the Story Circle Expectations, Guidelines, & Tips
Theme Description: What’s in a name? What does it mean to name, rename, or learn the name of something or someone? Tell us the story of your (nick)name and why it suits you or is a thorn in your side. Recount the tale of clearing your name, becoming a household name, or desperately trying to make a name for yourself. What was it like for you to name your dog, child, truth, or a newly discovered species of moth? Share about the time when you finally figured out how you wanted to respond when people mispronounced your name. Tell the story about renaming yourself, a school, or your experience. How did your understanding or way of being change when you learned the name of a local plant, your neighbor, or that concept, category, or health condition that brought your life into clearer focus? Name your poison!
Story Circles include 6-8 people who gather and share stories on a common theme from their own lives. Collectively, the group explores what can be learned from the stories together that would be harder to understand from any particular story alone.
